Innovation and sustainability become strong at Iberflora 2023

Iberflora, the reference fair for plants and flowers, landscaping, technology and DIY gardening, held at Feria Valencia, Spain from the 3rd to 5th October 2023 has closed the doors of its 52nd edition with very positive results and a strong and consolidated green sector. The international buyers doubled and the foreign exhibitors grew by more than 30%. Furthermore, the national market is consolidating and experiencing sustainable growth of around 5%.

More than 12,000 professionals have visited Iberflora and have discovered the novelties that have been presented in its more than 35,000 square meters. It should be noted that this year, the fair has registered a notable increase in foreign participation, both in terms of exhibitors, which represented 26% of the total exhibitors, and buyers, which have doubled compared to the last edition. Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Holland, Italy, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Panama, Romania, Andorra, Montenegro and Japan are just some of the countries that have visited Iberflora’s great commercial showcase in its 2023 edition.

Iberflora, the reference fair for the ‘green sector’ at Feria Valencia, has presented a wide range of new products that seek, among other things, to be more sustainable, save water and stand up to climate change. Product technology that companies develop to do their part in environmental transformation and, at the same time, open new markets.

“We are very satisfied because exhibitors and visitors have conveyed to us the success of this fair,” he revealed. Maximum Solaz, director of Iberflora. “It is a fair that has stood out for its international character, both as an exhibitor and as a visitor, and that has been noticed. We have exhibitors who have come from Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands… who are very interesting and great producers,” highlighted the director of Iberflora. Solaz has highlighted that, in addition, the national professional has demonstrated its solidity and potential for sustained growth, exhibiting a commendable increase of 5%”.

The balance is positive and the sensations are very good. This has been stated by the president of Iberflora, Raul Ferrer, who has pointed out that Iberflora is the most important fair in the sector in Spain and one of the most relevant on the international scene. “The success of Iberflora in 2023 reinforces its position as a key event,” remarked Ferrer, who added that, as an exhibitor, they have had a lot of work. “From the first to the last day we have had the stands full,” he said.

As every year, Urban Green Spaces was the epicenter of knowledge at Iberflora, with an extensive program of presentations by experts in gardening, plant health, urban planning and arboriculture, among other disciplines. In this edition, much of the focus will fall on the election of Valencia as European Green Capital, a milestone that will be celebrated in 2024.

As explained Maximum Solaz, director of Iberflora, “Urban Green Spaces will become the meeting point for the latest trends in the management of public space for three days, a forum in which the renaturalization of cities, green infrastructure and in value the election of Valencia as European Green Capital 2024. From Iberflora we seek to provide ideas and solutions following the guidelines of the 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals.”
