The 34th GrootGroenPlus trade fair will be held from October 2-4, 2024, once again at Treeport 402 in the Business Centre Treeport (BCT), Zundert, The Netherlands. Following the success of last year’s event at this location, the 2024 fair will feature the same fully demountable set-up along the main axis of the BCT, with ample parking and outdoor spaces for displaying machinery and installations.

Emphasis on Visually Appealing Products
While the detailed layout and content are still being developed, the upcoming edition promises to be remarkable. The European Plant Support (EPS) foundation has increased its budget to attract prominent foreign buyers and showcase products for retailers, garden centres, landscape contractors, and visually appealing items.
GrootGroenPlus has long been a premier green platform, offering various plants, including traditional forest and hedge varieties. The event, held in Zundert, is known for its warm atmosphere and extensive focus on greenery. The fair will feature everything from seeds, cuttings, and grafts to standard trees, forest trees, park trees, fruit crops, perennial plants, visually appealing plants, conifers, shaped trees, roses, and rootstocks.

Photo Contest: “In the Picture”
This year, the fair will include an engaging photo contest aligned with the theme “In the Picture.” Participants and suppliers are invited to submit up to five high-quality photos that collectively tell a story. An international panel of five judges, including members from the EPS and GGP boards, a professional photographer, and journalists, will review the photos and provide their interpretations of the stories. These interpretations will then be compared with the original narratives. The best entries will be showcased at the fair, and a special prize will be awarded to the most outstanding submissions. Entries should be sent via email to info@grootgroenplus.nl by September 15, 2024.
Attracting International Visitors
Significant efforts will be made to attract international visitors and participants this year. Through GGP.news, around ten foreign trade journalists will be invited to write articles about arboriculture in their countries and notable green projects. Additionally, the top ten companies from each country will be approached for participation and attendance.
A three-day press tour for 20 foreign journalists will be organized, including an internal press trip on Wednesday and an external one on Thursday of the fair.

KwekersBode Special Edition
In anticipation of the fall event, a special edition of KwekersBode will be published. This eighth edition, due at the end of June, features extensive coverage of participants and products. The theme “In the Picture” will highlight container cultivation, the impact of the extremely wet winter, and bee mortality. The KwekersBode will be available in two languages, digitally distributed to over 18,000 email contacts, and physically with a circulation of over 53,000 copies and posted on the website and social media.
