PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt, the leading Green Retail Fair, is the ultimate gathering spot for suppliers and professionals in the green sector. This event showcases the latest innovations and a comprehensive selection of outdoor plants from the Netherlands and around the world. The next edition is scheduled for August 21-22, 2024, at GROEN-Direkt’s hall in the International Trade Centre, Hazerswoude/Boskoop, The Netherlands.

This year, with a fully booked exhibition space, visitors can expect an entirely new and diverse range of outdoor plants. In addition to loyal exhibitors, forty new participants will be introducing their products.

Fair manager Marjolein Wieckardt expressed her satisfaction with the sold-out status, noting, “We’ve managed to create additional space for stands by relocating the Green Retail Awards submissions and the large catering patio to a spacious, air-conditioned marquee outside. The fact that these extra square meters have also been booked proves that this fair is the top venue for showcasing products, building new business relationships, and securing orders. Even though we’re fully booked, I encourage any interested companies to contact me by next week. We’re always open to finding extra space where possible.”

Green Retail Awards

PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt is renowned for its wide array of novelties. The Green Retail Awards play a key role in encouraging innovation within the sector, offering a platform to highlight new products and concepts.

These awards aim to foster innovation, with categories like Best Market Innovation, judged by international retailers and experts. Other categories include Best Novelty, judged by the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society (KVBC), and Visitors’ Favourite, chosen by attendees. Products submitted for these inspections are also showcased on the event’s website.

Notable entries this year include the Hibiscus Carousel Ghost (‘Tahi2025’) by About Plants, featuring deeply incised dark purple foliage and large white flowers, and Agastache Beelicious Pink (‘Agapk’PBR) by Vitroflora, known for its large pink flower panicles and compact, exuberantly flowering habit. Additionally, @Roots will be presenting two new additions to the Chick Charms® Giants series: Gold Mine and Emerald Explosion.

The fair continues to draw numerous visitors from both the Netherlands and abroad. It is open exclusively to professional visitors, and advance registration through the event website is recommended for quick entry.
