The third weekend of March, on Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th, FAI, the Italian National Trust, will renew the annual appointment with its “Giornate FAI di Primavera”, a rendez-vous with the beauty of our country which has come to the 26th edition. For the whole weekend, thousands of visitors will welcome within its own properties, opening to the public also many special places that normally cannot be visited. Among the FAI properties that will be open also the gardens and villas portrayed in EMU’s 2018 catalogue, such as Villa del Balbianello (Como), or Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan, or The Bosco di San Francesco in Assisi. The interaction between cultural and natural heritage summarizes EMU support to FAI’s activities: becoming global ambassador of the Italian culture of outdoor living.
EMU have signed a three-year partnership with FAI – Fondo Italiano Ambiente, the Italian National Trust, that restores and takes care of special places in Italy, which sees the company in the forefront of supporting and promoting the Fund’s protection and conservation activities in Italy and abroad. This is an important collaboration, founded on shared values such as attention to beauty, the promotion of excellence and a love of art, which EMU and FAI are committed to spreading through their respective missions. In fact, the Fondo Ambiente Italiano was set up to protect, preserve and promote our country’s wealth of artistic and natural heritage, and EMU, by interpreting the Italian culture of outdoor living, is committed to bringing Italian style to the world with its designer furnishings that combine tradition and technological innovation. The brand’s financial commitment to supporting the Foundation is the natural consequence of the company’s policy, leading EMU to support artistic and cultural initiatives as well as promoting knowledge, care and protection of the environment.
An integral part of this project will be the new concept for the 2018 business catalogue, where the brand’s designer collections play the leading role along with the beautiful villas, gardens and archaeological sites belonging to the FAI; the centrepiece of the national landscaping system, the Foundation’s assets are the ideal setting for EMU’s collections, developed by the brand in collaboration with internationally-renowned designers. Each shot emphasises the sophisticated design of the furnishing lines and brings out the beauty of the chosen locations, in a continuous interplay between cultural and territorial heritage.
