The theme of the 28th edition of trade fair GrootGroenPlus, which will be held from 3 – 5 October in Zundert, is The Future = Green. And that future is held by, for the main part, the younger generation. That is why it is essential to involve them in the developments that the industry has to deal with. After the discussion, which can also be found in the trade fair special, other activities will be developed, which will help to build a bridge to the young tree growers and entrepreneurs. One of these activities is involving them with inspecting novelties. During GrootGroenPlus, new crops will be introduced, and the KVBC awards will be presented. The novelties are presented by national and international companies. Prior to the trade fair, the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society (KVBC) will inspect these plants.
In this edition, some interesting press tours will be hosted at and around trade fair GrootGroenPlus. The internal press tour will start on Wednesday 3 October at 11:30. The tour at the trade fair starts at the KVBC stand with the award ceremony for the field inspections. It will be continued at the stands of VanDamme Sierplanten BVBA, Digiflor BVBA, Mabo Boomkwekerijen, and Bunk Pflanzen, which are all alongside the grey route. As usual, on Thursday 4 October, the external press tour will be hosted. The international press (approx. 30 journalists) will travel to the companies of ESRI potcultuur (Rijsbergen), Boomkwekerij De Raamberg (Zundert), Boomkwekerijen Zundert (Rijsbergen) and E. van Dijk vof (Zundert). Schrauwen Machinebouw Zundert (Klein-Zundert) will show their machines at one of the host locations. This also shows a new plus of GrootGroenPlus 2018: the fact that international visitors can now also participate in the press tours. If there is sufficient demand, it is possible to host some additional tours. Visitors who would like to participate in the tours can register until 15 September via info@grootgroenplus.nl. Of course, participants can also book arrangements for their visitors, at a discounted rate. This way, special guests can get the whole GGP experience, and participants will have a chance to strengthen relationships.
