During the last 69th edition of Flormart, the international long-lived trade fair exhibition of horticulture in Italy, that was held from September 19–21 in Padua, more than 40 events that involved about 200 speakers on the theme of horticulture, green architecture landscape and innovation involved about 2,000 participants. Exhibitors have been satisfied with the high quality of trade operators and visitors who came to the event from Italy and abroad. The feeling was positive since the beginning of the event and today the confirmation from exhibitors and public present to the various initiatives organized within Flormart has arrived. Positive confirmations that also come from the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, in the words of Undersecretary Franco Manzato “I visited Flormart and it is a high level event, with highly selected trade operators, it is the spearhead of the horticultural industry and represents an unique excellence also for the Government”.
A truly unexpected edition number 70, will able to draw the future direction of Italian nursery gardening sector, with elements more and more integrated with other sectors such as architecture, technology, research and their applications. An event that is able to enhance the high quality product of Italian companies towards foreign markets and increasingly connected to its new opportunities for use in the domestic market. This sector’s target is to enhance the presence of horticultural companies by facilitating the connection between national and international demand and supply. Halls 1-2-3-4-5 was dedicated to the italian and international horticultural production; each Pavilion was focus on process quality, forest nursery and officinal plants, import/export. Special attention was given to the biodiversity, organized together with ANVE, the National Association of Nurserymen Exporters. The Pavilion shown the italian production from Sicily to Northern Italy and it host some of the leading companies of Mediterranean plants, citrus fruits, ornamental outdoor and indoor plants. The 2018 show closes with great satisfaction on the part of the exhibitors who underline the presence of high-profile visitors, positive opinions also for the interesting delegations of foreign buyers, over 96, who visited the pavilions dedicated to the nursery gardening in the three days searching for quality products of italian made in Italy. Absolutely positive numbers come from the front of conferences and meetings that have seen the involvement of about 2,000 participants in the three days of exhibition. The AIPH World Congress – International Association of Floricultural Producers, has brought producers from all over the world to visit the fair, the Flormart of Padua has been chosen for the prestige enjoyed by Italian producers abroad. The Congress began on 17 September and ended on the 22nd, coinciding with the fair. Next year AIPH will again be in Padua for the 70th edition of Flormart also because, the show was been included in the main events of the association.
