Marina Picasso, granddaughter of the painter Pablo Picasso and godmother of the Gardens Festival of the Côte d’Azur now has a rose with her name created by the rose company Meilland. On March 31, Marina Picasso had the privilege of christening the rose that now bears her name, a Meilland creation with white and romantic flowers. The baptism took place during the 2019 edition of the Côte d’Azur Garden Festival, at Villa Eilenroc, in Antibes. The festival, launched in 2017 by the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, is a real moment of fulfillment and sharing. Due to its success, its attendance and its media impact, the festival is renewed every two years in the spring for one month. The ambition of the festival is to make the Côte d’Azur a leading destination for tourism related to gardens, and Maison Meilland is proud to be part of the project.
