The Salon du Végétal launches its 33rd edition, on the theme of conviviality, from 19 to 21 June 2018 in Nantes. Transferring the fair to the Parc des Expositions de Nantes, offering an outstanding landscaped setting and more space, has provided scope for the four sectors as Production, Retail, Landscaping and Floristry to expand and feature a diversified range of flowers and plants and other products: flowers, flowering plants, shrubs, trees, vegetable plants and aromatics. Over three days, it brings together almost 600 exhibitors and brands and attracts over 10,000 professional visitors. In 2018 edition, the fair spotlights the plants and flowers, gardening and landscaping industries through the “Naturally friendly!” theme. Conviviality will be key, of course, but also wellbeing. The exhibitors and the partners invite industry professionals to share convivial experiences around the theme of “Naturally friendly!” at the fair. This will truly be an ideal opportunity for all to exchange ideas, network, find inspiration, gather information and discover products and services with high conviviality value. Consumers and users are constantly looking for lightheartedness and good humour; it is vital, therefore, for businesses to adapt their offering to these new consumer expectations, where the emotional dimension is crucial.
‘ With a natural focus on French production, the domestic influence remains strong, but international exhibitors and visitors also play an important part. The Salon du Végétal is also the opportunity to gain a transversal view of the industry as a whole, with a substantial offering of plants and flowers matched by an equally impressive and indispensable range of associated products and services’ said Mr.Jean-Éric Ponthou, Salon du Végétal Exhibition Manager. The Salon insists on its criteria of “new” and “exclusive” to guarantee visitors exciting and unusual discoveries throughout their visit. This is what the event sets out to provide, the chance to test out all the new ideas in person and get a better idea of what they have to offer. Special events and stagings of the latest trends and innovations will be held around the fair. These will include store stagings, landscaping design, merchandising and demonstrations. Several conference areas will provide visitors with information and solutions. Special events like TheYoung Plants Display Area staging will be improved. A new concept store, the “Florist’s concept store” will feature in the Floristry sector, giving a preview of the florist’s store of the future. A connected garden area with all the latest innovations in connected objects and digital solutions for the garden. Specialized conferences will be led by renowned speakers. The Retail Corner changes concept with a special staging of exhibitors’ offerings, inspired by the latest trends in merchandising. Every year, the Salon du Végétal has something new to offer: more innovations, more ideas, more inspiration. With this in mind, the Innovert contest will be held in a stand offering maximum exposure and with allnew lighting and furniture. Innovert is a contest to reward the very best innovations in the world of plants and flowers. The contest is the brainchild of the Salon du Végétal and has the support and recognition of Val’hor. For complete originality, only those products marketed during the current year are eligible for nomination. An established favourite, famously strict in its requirements, the contest has become a must-see event, attracting crowds of visitors and considerable media attention.
